**Fatih Terim'**s Turkey then began to show signs of their quality and they were moments away from beating the Netherlands only for a stoppage time equaliser from Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, who cancelled out Burak Yilmaz' strike.

Turkey then picked up a narrow 1-0 victory over Kazakhstan after a late Arda Turan effort. However, late goals was also becoming Turkey's downfall as they dropped two points to draw with Latvia when they conceded in injury time.

Turkey then got their qualification hopes back on track and finihsed the qualifying campaign with three straight wins and three clean sheets. The most impressive being their 3-0 victory over Netherlands with goals coming from Oguzhan Ozyakup, Arda Turan and Burak Yilmaz. Key Players

Key Player

Turkish captain Arda Turan was sensational for a couple of seasons at Atletico Madrid which then earnt him a move to Spanish giants, Barcelona. A tricky and talented winger he is Turkey's stand out player. The experienced playmaker is very dangerous when given the chance to run at his opponents and if given time on the ball he can split defences in one pass. If Turkey are to succeed at Euro 2016, Arda Turan will have to play a leading role.

The Goals

Burak Yilmaz is well-known in Turkey having played for the 'big four' Galatasaray, Besiktas, Fernerbahce and Trabzonspor. He currently plays in China for Beijing Guoan and has an impressive goalscoring record at club and international level. He's pacy and direct which causes problems for the very best centre backs. Yilmaz' four goals in qualifying saw him top the Tukey goalscoring charts in qualifying and Turkey fans will be desperate to get there hands on Turkey Euro 2016 tickets.

One to watch out for

Selcuk Inan is the man to watch out for at Euro 2016 for Turkey. He's experienced, with a good engine in the middle of the park.

If Inan can link up to good effect with close friend and former Galatasaray team mate, Yilmaz, Turkey will be well on their way to making it at past the groups and could well be a thorn in the side of top teams. Inan has over 50 caps for his country and he will be looking to control the midfield by breaking up attacks and winning back possession.

Hakan Çalhanoğluplays his club football in Germany for Bayer Leverkusen and he is making a name for himself in the Bundesliga. Calhanoglu has also been impressing for the Turkish national side and at the age of 22, he certainly has a bright future.
