Santiago Bernabéu

The Bernabéu Stadium is located in central Madrid on the Paseo de la Castellana, one of Madrid’s principal avenues. It is approximately 3 miles north of Puerta del Sol, one of Madrid’s main squares.

We recommend reaching the stadium at least an hour in advance of kick-off. This will give you enough opportunity to sample the atmosphere and locate your seats in good time.

Getting There

Address: Av de Concha Espina, 1, 28036 Madrid, Spain

The stadium is best reached by metro line 10 (dark blue line). Stop Santiago Bernabéu lies right next to the stadium.

Bus numbers 40,43,120,147 & 150 all pass directly by the stadium, with each running a different route from within the city centre.

Taxis to the stadium are easy to find though there always seems to be a shortage straight after the match. It may be wise to go for a beer in a local bar and let the crowds disappear before looking for one.

Food and Drink

The Spainish capital provides all the opportuities for food and drink you would expect, from fine dining through to fast food. The area around the stadium is a mix of mostly offices, shops, and residential buildings, but there are enough bars and cafés mixed in to find something to eat or drink.

There is a popular shopping centre adjacent to the ground named**'La Esquina del Bernabéu'**, providing a food court and choices such as TGI Fridays and Tony Roma’s, recommended for a pre-match meal.

The Real Madrid Shop

Be sure to leave enough time to visit the Real Madrd shop located in the stadium grounds. At 1500 metres squared in size, it can boast to be one of the largest football shops in the world. Here you can pick up football kits, training equipment, fashion, homeware, souvenirs and gifts.## Santiago Bernabeu Seating

**Category 1:**These are regarded as the best seats available in the stadium and are therefore the most expensive category seats to purchase (not including Real Madrid VIP Hospitality.) Category 1 seats are often in the Longside Lower sections of the stadium, offering seats close to the pitch at Santiago Bernabeu in the East and West side of the stadium.

Category 2: These are the second most expensive tickets listed on Football Ticket Pad and they offer fantastic aerial views of the playing surface below. Category 2 seats are housed in the Upper tiers of the East Stand and West Stand, otherwise known as Longside Upper seats.

Category 3: Seated behind the goal in either the North Stand or South Stand at Santiago Bernabeu, customers can expect to be seated in the upper tier of the stands above the goal. Category 3 seats are also known as Shortside Upper and they can prove to be great value for money, especially in such a historic stadium like the Bernabeu.

**Category 4:**Located behind the goal in the lower tier close to the pitch, these are the cheapest tickets that we have available. Fans can get up close to the action and they can often prove to be a great spot when the team are attacking your end of the pitch.

VIP Hospitality: Football Ticket Pad is able to supply a limited number of Real Madrid VIP Hospitality tickets for some of the biggest matches of the season - including matches against Barcelona and in the UEFA Champions League. There are a selection of Madrid VIP tickets available including some great hospitality seats including the Trophy Room, which is located in the second tier of the West Stand. The Asador Restaurant in the East Stand is another popular choice, along with the famous European Cup Room Suite hosted in the lower tier section of West Stand. If you are after Real hospitality tickets please let us know and we arrange a package for you depending on availability.

**Away Section:**Not available for every match. Usually a popular choice for European fixtures, especially against English clubs where we will have a greater number of away section tickets available. Please note that away section tickets are strictly restricted to away fans only.

## Real Madrid Last Season

Real Madrid will have mixed feelings about their 2017/18 campaign. Despite finishing 17 points behind champions Barcelona in La Liga, fans with Real Madrid tickets were still able to watch Los Blancos lift their third successive UEFA Champions League title in Kiev with a 3-1 victory over Liverpool.

Madrid paid the price for a slow opening half of the season. Shock defeats to Girona and Real Betis, as well as dropping points against Levante, Valencia and Athletic Club set Los Blancos an almost insurmountable task to catch Barca, which was worsened further as the Catalonians strolled to a 3-0 victory inside the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu before the winter break. Alongside that, failing to overcome city rivals Atletico Madrid, either at home or at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano - as well as finishing up three points behind Diego Simeone's men in third.

Similar levels of disappointment were felt in the Copa del Rey this year, with Zidane somewhat underestimating Leganes in January and crashing out of the competition at the quarter-final stage on away goals.

As has become Real Madrid's speciality in recent years, it was in the continental competitions where they found their success, which makes Real Madird Champions League tickets hot on every football fans agenda.

Despite Los Blancos failing to top their group - following their defeat to Tottenham Hotspur - the Spaniards got past the champions of Italy, France and Germany on their way to the final. The biggest challenge lies ahead for Real and how they will adapt next season under new management and without their talisman, Cristiano Ronaldo.
